I'm sick, don't feel good, and ya don't wanna mess with me today. I saw a political ad/commercial on TV today- it almost made me start to get sick all over again!!!

Anyway, the joke that I'm referring to in my subject is on our PA Superior Court because they won't even "reconsider" hearing an appeal on the escape charges. Yeaaaah, 'Keystone of Justice' my white ass!!

Times Leader Breaking News: Superior Court won’t reconsider Selenski appeal

WILKES-BARRE – The state Superior Court has refused a defense request to reconsider a ruling that reinstated escape charges against double homicide suspect Hugo Selenski.

In a Feb. 6 decision, the court overturned a ruling by Luzerne County Judge Peter Paul Olszewski Jr. that dismissed charges related to Selenski’s escape from the Luzerne County Correctional Facility in October 2003. Olszewski had determined prosecutors violated Selenski’s right to a speedy trial, but the court determined Olszewski had held the prosecution to too strict a standard and remanded the case for trial.

Selenski’s attorney, Michael Senape, filed a court motion last month asking the court to reconsider the ruling. The court denied that petition without comment in a ruling issued April 18.

Selenski is awaiting trial on the escape as well as the homicides of Michael Kerkowski and Tammy Fassett, who were among five bodies unearthed at his Kingston Township home in May 2003.

Selenski’s attorneys could ask the state Supreme Court to hear an appeal of the escape ruling, but the court is not obligated to take the case.

 i'm back

Looks like I missed out on some news yesterday & today I guess... I got sick yesterday and still feel sick, uggggh. And of course I still went to work. I am off today, but still took the 'nox for the 12,000-mile L-O-F, and I got a Dr's appointment (that's been scheduled for awhile) this afternoon. He's not my GP, so I don't think he'll be able to do much for me feeling like this. Ohhhh wellll, I'll be sitting in the waiting room for hours, too, I'm sure! Maybe I can catch up on the sleep I was lacking last night?

Hey, I've been seeing some "Lupey-Dupey-for-Judgie-Wudgie" signs around town- maybe thaaaaaat's why I'm feeling sick to my stomach!! A-ha-ha-ha!!!! Seriously, what's wrong with my neighbors? Rub the sleep out of your eyes, take a swig of Farmer's Iced Tea, have a bite of Senape's Pitza, and take down the damn blue and yellow ugly ass traitor signs and show your support for our hometown boy!!!! I've seen Marsilio for Judge signs around, those people know what they're doing! I've thought of better uses for "It's-Not-My-Fault's" signs, too, hahaha, just ask me!!

Okay, here's the latest from the Times Leader and good 'ol David Weiss. Yep, he wrote it, not me! =-p

Selenski prosecutors to eye records
Phone records of late father of murder victim Michael J. Kerkowski to be examined.
DAVID WEISS

WILKES-BARRE – Prosecutors on Monday got permission to review telephone records of a deceased man to see if they have information relevant to a homicide.

A Luzerne County judge on Monday ordered Verizon Wireless to give investigators all communications from two accounts belonging to the late Michael S. Kerkowski. He is the father of slain pharmacist Michael J. Kerkowski.

The younger Kerkowski and Tammy Fassett went missing in May 2002 before the pharmacist was to be sentenced in Wyoming County Court on charges including illegal distribution of drugs and fraud.

Police found their bodies buried behind Hugo Selenski’s Mount Olivet Road residence in Kingston Township when they executed a search warrant on the house in June 2003.

Selenski and Paul Weakley were charged with homicide, robbery and other offenses in the slayings.

The elder Kerkowski testified against the men at a preliminary hearing. He testified Selenski bilked him out of tens of thousands of dollars, saying it was to aid the younger Kerkowski with his legal problems. Selenski once fired a bullet past the elder Kerkowski’s head, too, he said.

Selenski and Weakley are now awaiting trial on the charges. The elder Kerkowski was expected to testify. But he died in September.

Attorneys for both suspects are asking a judge to prevent prosecutors from using a transcript of the man’s preliminary hearing testimony at the trial. They say using a transcript will prevent them from having a full opportunity to cross-examine the witness.

A hearing on the issue is set for Friday.

On Monday, Luzerne County District Attorney David Lupas and Assistant District Attorney Jarrett Ferentino filed court papers seeking the phone records of the elder Kerkowski for the entire year of 2002.

They said the phone records could contain information relevant to the homicide investigation.

Court of Common Pleas Judge Chester Muroski granted the request.

Also on Monday, Muroski approved a request by Selenski’s attorneys to be able to meet with him, in person and with a laptop computer, at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility to review certain CDs, DVDs and pictures.

Hmm, I wonder what they think they'll find in the phone records? And isn't this late in the game to be looking for new evidence? An honest question...

Thanks to Gort! Davey & Jackie say No Thanks to debatin'

In yesterday's (4/18) Citizens Voice, there was an article about how Lupas and Musto-Carroll won't attend a debate against their opponents in their respective races. I missed that news, but I saw Gort's post on his blog. He kept me updated- thanks, man!!

Here it is, the article here.

I can remember in high school classmates having to debate for student council and other clubs like that. We couldn't pull a "Dave" or "Jackie" then! Given all their past flubs, you'd think they'd want to debate to "prove" themselves...

 I just don't get it!!!

Why does the AMERICAN civil liberties union continue to file lawsuits on behalf of people that aren't legal American citizens?

See this online Times Leader article here. (As if the issue lies with just the Register herself, yeah right!!! Just another ACLU publicity stunt for illegal immigration... Too bad this couple has to go through this.)

I just don't get it. When a legal American citizen needs help, I bet the ACLU won't be anywhere to be found, because they're too busy with non-Americans!!! Sorry, but no, I don't think so. If you're gonna call yourself the AMERICAN civil liberties union, then do right by your name! If they continue down their path as such, then maybe it's time to do some name changing...

My short but sweet message to the ACLU: get your act together! Set your priorities! Look at your own name, daaaaaaaaaaaamn! Come on now, people, I think you should know what 'American' means!!

Oh, and "illegal is illegal". Thanks, Mayor Lou!!
