 honey i'm hooome!!

man was Patchy happy to see me!

this trip was a lot better than the traffic- and construction-filled debacle last time! it was almost a vacation! the review was worth the money (well we'll know for sure when I PASS the 1st time!), and lots of fun was had! Let's see: parking tickets, parallel parking, tattoos, Condom Kingdom, Johnny Rockets, shopping, cooking, watching scary movies, and spending time with Midi and Yoda!

I miss my Mar and Kris already....

 one more!

countdown to graduation: 17 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!

so THIS is what i've been waiting six years for...
(no, it wasn't a 4-year degree, the doctorate takes a minimum of six years to accomplish)

i am curious to know what people think about pharmacists having doctoral degrees and going by the prefix of "Dr.". it has been the standard degree in pharmacy for at least 6 years now, and other areas that offer doctoral degrees have people who go by "Doctor So-and-so" as well. i figure i earned it, so i'll use the title (but i won't require anyone to address me as "doctor"- just tara is mighty fine with me!). some pharmacists don't (not including those who have the 5-year bachelor degree).

sorry if i'm rambling, it's late! :-p any comments are greatly appreciated and i'll get back to you in the near future (bear with me, while i'm gone i will have limited internet access.)...

 gone again

this time i'll be gone from tomorrow (sunday) until friday for a review course for the boards i'll be taking soon.

my college roomie kristy and i will be staying with our best friend mar and going to "class" during the day while she works and then getting together at night to do some fun girly stuff like shopping at king of prussia or maybe going out for dinner and drinking, who knows!

the equinox is almost at 3500 miles (since feb 21). i have the gm smartbuy program so i gotta watch the miles since i want a new car in like 3 to 4 years. i'm hoping to get a saleen mustang sooner than that, though!

i've been looking at apartments to rent in the area. the prices are, for the most part, better than they were in philly- thank God! now if only i can find one with either off-street parking and/or a garage nearby. i love my family- mom, dad, sister- but i am honestly looking forward to being on my own for the first time. kristy and i had an apartment together in phily for 2 years after dorming it for 2 before that, but i've never been living alone, but i'm so ready!

i wouldn't be averse to a roommate, but my sister is out of the question, ha ha! she works night for nexstar and i work days; we fight all the time, and she really couldn't afford moving out in the near future.

it's getting late, so i'm going to get to bed. i have a 2-hour drive in my future tomorrow, and i have a feeling the turnpike construction and Schuylkill traffic won't be much different than last time!

GoodNight!

P.S. Never made it to back to Philly last Sunday- the parents' Mazda Tribute BROKE DOWN just outside of Allentown! It acted the same way my poor Pontiac Grand Am did just before she died, and they both were serviced by the local Mazda/Pontiac/Jeep dealer. Luckily, the issue wasn't the engine as it was with my baby, but it was still a frustrating situation...
